Eternity and On

Home > Resources > Articles > Poem

As the trumpets sound,
A man arose above the ground,
So high above in the clouds,

With a blood drenched robe he stood,
And a heart so ever lovingly good,
For he stood with authority,
over all cities and neighberhoods.

With hair as white as snow ,
With eyes like a blazing fire,
And a voice so strong,
It feels like another flood came along.

His face as bright as the sun,
And his brilliance no pun,

For with him was an army,
ready for action,
For he knew the battle was already won,
For there was nowhere the enemy could run.

So as the dead rose from their graves,
And I watched, amazed,
I felt as though I was free,
From all pain and suffering,
Seperated from my body,
Afloat flying to my Savior,
For with him I belong for eternity and on.
